Job Description:

The Quincy Public School Foundation seeks a strategic and dynamic Executive Director for Development, Marketing, and Communication with a strong record of fundraising leadership and achievement.  Reporting to the Foundation Board he/she will serve as a key member of the Executive team.  The successful candidate will be an engaging collaborator who will establish productive working relationships with the Board and staff.  The new Executive Director will create and execute a strategic fundraising plan to advance QPSF’s vision and goals by directing a comprehensive and strategic fundraising program including annual giving, major gifts, planned gifts, grants, foundation relations, as well as alumni/ae relations.

The Executive Director is also responsible for the direction and oversight of the development of a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy aligned with the Quincy Public School’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a strategic fundraising plan with clearly defined goals, time frames and metrics.
  • Build a high-performing development program and team with focus on increasing philanthropic revenue through corporate, foundation, and individual giving.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor staff leading to achievement of goals.
  • Direct the efforts of the marketing, communications, and public relations and coordinate with other functions of the School District at the strategic and tactical level.
  • Plan, develop, and implement the Foundation’s marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities.
  • Create, implement, and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Foundation’s image and position with the market place and the public.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Five years of progressively successful development experience with a record of accomplishment of building comprehensive fundraising programs and plans that achieve results.
  • Outstanding relationship building and collaboration skills to work with a diverse constituency.
  • Strong supervisory experience that demonstrated the ability to lead, coach and develop staff.
  • A self-starter who seeks and seizes opportunity.
  • Experience with on-line fundraising and social media.
  • Demonstrated skill, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success preferable in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s preferred
