Color Run Rules of Participation

All participants are expected to follow these general rules of participation. Participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the event.

1) Please do not throw color on anyone who does not want it.

2) Do not throw color in anyone’s face or eyes.

3) Be respectful of private property, homes, and businesses.

4) Do not throw color anywhere other than on participants on the race route.

5) It is not recommended to bring dogs to this event due to the nature of the color run. Please do not bring your pet. You are solely responsible for the behavior of your pet at all times.

6) This is not a timed event. We recommend self-timing if you desire.

7) Quincy Public Schools, the Quincy Public Schools Foundation and the volunteer event organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property of participants.

8) In the event of cancelation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, refunds will not be given. Every effort will be made to hold the event on the scheduled day. If cancelation is inevitable, the event will not be rescheduled.

9) No refunds will be given in the event of participant cancelation. The logistics of organizing and coordinating the event make it impossible.

 

RAIN DELAY PROCEDURE. If storms (not rain) are threatening the morning of the event, the following procedure will be followed:

If the organizers, the Foundation executive director, and the Emergency Management director determine a delay due to lightning, an announcement will be phoned in to all local media sources both radio and TV at 8:00 a.m. and everything will be delayed for two hours. This means the run will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.

If it is still lightening at 10:00 a.m. the rain committee will meet again. If it is still it unsafe for participants to run, an announcement will be made canceling the event. Due to the unavailability of personnel there will be no attempt to reschedule the run.
