A Gift of Books for Baldwin Kindergarten

Sometimes, big change begins with a simple ask.

Recently, Lindsay Struck, an Instructional Coach at Baldwin Elementary, shared a need online — hoping someone in the community might help provide new books and instructional resources for her students. What happened next is a powerful reminder of how quickly generosity can turn into real impact.

Within just one week, a donor reached out to the Quincy Public Schools Foundation with an incredible message: they wanted to fully fund the project.

Thanks to that support, Baldwin kindergarten classrooms are now enriched with fresh, engaging, leveled books that match students’ individual reading abilities. These new resources are already making a meaningful difference for young learners as they build foundational literacy skills and discover the joy of reading.

In her thank-you letter, Struck shared that “Because of you, our kindergarten students feel encouraged, inspired, and ready to take on new challenges with bright smiles and growing confidence. Your investment is directly shaping their educational journey at one of the most important stages of learning.”

The impact extends beyond students. Teachers now have a wider variety of high-quality materials to meet diverse learning needs and strengthen instruction each day.

Because of this donor’s generosity, Baldwin kindergarten students feel encouraged, inspired, and ready to take on new challenges with bright smiles and growing confidence.

Thank you for believing in Quincy students, teachers, and the future of Quincy Public Schools!
