The Class Circles Challenge is a friendly fundraising competition where Quincy High School alumni come together by graduating class to leave a lasting legacy. It's alumni pride with a purpose - supporting today's students & tomorrow's leaders.
How to Join the Challenge
Each class is working to raise funds to establish a Class Circle of Investment — a permanent endowed fund that will support Quincy Public Schools every single year, forever. Once a class reaches its goal, their Circle starts giving back immediately through annual distributions that fund student programs, classroom needs, and more.
Class Champions help bring their class back together for something bigger. Supporting students today and for generations to come.
As a Class Champion, you help keep your classmates informed, connected, and engaged with your Class Circle of Investment. You play an important role in helping us reach your class in ways that feel natural and familiar, while building momentum and pride over time.
You are not doing this alone. We provide the tools, updates, and support. This is flexible depending on the needs of your class. You help us share that message and keep your class connected.

As a Class Champion, you help make that possible by keeping your class connected, engaged, and moving forward together.
Every class connects in different ways, so this role can look a little different depending on your class. Here are a few ways we might work together:
- Keep your class informed
Share updates about your Class Circle and help classmates understand the impact they can make - Help us reach your classmates
Work with us to determine the best way to communicate with your class such as email, social media, group chats, or reunions - Serve as a point of connection
Help keep communication flowing between your class and QPSF and QHSAA by sharing updates, feedback, and ideas - Encourage participation
Invite classmates to get involved in ways that feel comfortable and natural - Support key moments
Help spread the word around reunions, milestone years, and important campaign updates

It's a friendly competition among Quincy High School (QHS) alumni classes to establish and grow endowed funds—called "Class Circles"—that support current and future students of Quincy Public Schools.
A Class Circle is an endowed fund created by a QHS graduating class. Once the fund reaches $10,000, it becomes fully funded, and the earnings are used annually to support areas of need within Quincy Public Schools. All donations are endowed, meaning Class Circles will provide support for QPS students in perpetuity.
Find your graduating class and visit its Class Circle page to make a gift directly online. Your donation will be added to your class’s total and help move your Class Circle closer to its $10,000 funding goal. You can contribute at any time throughout the year.
Your Class Circle becomes fully funded, and the earnings from the endowment will be distributed annually to support Quincy Public Schools, creating a lasting legacy for your class.

Each QHS graduating class is working toward a $10,000 goal to fully fund its own Class Circle of Investment. Gifts from classmates and supporters are added together toward that goal. Once fully funded, the Circle provides annual support for Quincy Public Schools while the principal remains permanently endowed, creating a lasting legacy for your class.
Class Circles Program Policy
The Class Circles Program engages alumni in supporting Quincy Public Schools through class-based giving. By leveraging the collective participation and competitive spirit of the graduated classes, the program generates philanthropic support to enhance educational opportunities for all students- now and for generations to come.
Fund Use and Allocation
All proceeds from the Class Circles Program will be directed toward the area of greatest need.
Funds may support, but are not limited to:
- QPS Foundation Teacher Grants Program
- Academic and classroom initiatives
- Student support services
- District-wide priorities and emerging needs
- Special projects at the QPS Foundation
All final funding decisions will be approved by the QPS Foundation Grants Committee and/or the QPS Foundation Board of Trustees.
A Class Circle will not award out funds until it is considered fully funded by reaching $10,000 in donations.
Fund Structure
- All Class Circles contributions are considered endowed as part of the Class Circle the funds were donated to.
- Funds are not designated for specific schools, programs, or class-year use.
- Distributions will be made in alignment with Foundation policies and available resources.
Reporting and Transparency
The Foundation is committed to clear and consistent reporting on the use of Class Circles funds.
- Funded projects and initiatives will be published on the QPS Foundation website.
- Impact will be shared, when possible, through:
- Social media
- Email communications
- Other public-facing channels
Donors will receive general updates on impact through those means. If an individual contributes a majority or more of a Class Circle’s total giving, the Foundation may provide individualized reporting on fund usage, when appropriate.
Recognition
- Contributions will be tracked by graduating class year for engagement and recognition.
- The Foundation may recognize class participation and giving levels publicly.
- Friendly class competition is encouraged to increase participation and overall impact.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically by the QPS Foundation Board of Trustees and updated as needed to align with Foundation priorities and district needs.
