Class of 1950 Circle Challenge
Established Circle of Investment
Class of 1950! 75 years since the Class of 1950 graduated from Quincy High School. We came of age in a time of optimism and transformation. America had emerged from World War II and was stepping into a new era. The first credit cards were being introduced, television was becoming a household fixture, and the nation looked ahead with pride, energy, and confidence.
Right here in Quincy, we shared unforgettable moments: cheering for the Blue Devils, performing on stage, studying hard, and celebrating senior year with friends who would last a lifetime. The Class of 1950 was part of a generation that built families, launched careers, and shaped communities—and for many of us, it all began at Quincy High School.
Now, we have the extraordinary opportunity to give back to the school system that helped shape our lives. Through the QPS Foundation’s Class Circles Challenge, we’re inviting our class to establish the Class of 1950 Circle—a permanent endowed fund that will support Quincy Public Schools students for generations to come.
The goal is to raise $10,000 to fully fund this Circle. Once established, the Class of 1950 Circle will provide ongoing support for student needs—such as access to technology, mental health resources, music and arts education, athletics, and college and career readiness. These are the tools today’s students need to thrive in a very different, fast-moving world.
This campaign is also an invitation to reconnect—whether by reaching out to fellow classmates or inviting children, grandchildren, and families of the Class of 1950 to contribute in honor or memory of those who helped build this legacy. Every gift, large or small, helps us get closer to our goal—and every donation is a tribute to the values, friendships, and experiences we shared so many years ago.
Let’s mark this 75-year milestone with purpose. Let’s create something lasting. Together, we can turn a lifetime of memories into an enduring gift for the future.
Join us in building the Class of 1950 Circle—and let our legacy live on.
