Class of 1997 Circle Challenge

Area of Greatest Need, Class Circle

Established Circle of Investment

Class of 1997! It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly three decades since you walked across the stage as proud Quincy Blue Devils, ready to take on a world undergoing profound change. Today, you have a meaningful opportunity to come together once again—this time, to create a lasting legacy through the Class Circles Challenge.

Thanks to the remarkable generosity of individuals from your class, the Class of 1997 Circle has already surpassed its initial $10,000 goal! The fund is now active and poised to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of Quincy Public Schools students. But this is just the beginning.

Let’s keep the momentum going.

Every additional donation strengthens the fund and expands its reach. Each gift is a step toward a more supported school system—one where teachers, custodians, aides, principals, and every member of the QPS family are honored and empowered to keep doing their best work.

Your senior year unfolded during a time of defining global events. In 1997, the world mourned the loss of Princess Diana, a symbol of compassion and humanitarianism. In the United States, Madeleine Albright shattered barriers as the first female Secretary of State. Meanwhile, the digital age began to take shape with the launch of Netflix and the rise of early social networking platforms—signaling a transformation in how the world would connect.

Culturally, 1997 left an unforgettable imprint. Titanic dominated theaters and hearts alike. Music from Puff Daddy, the Spice Girls, and Third Eye Blind filled the airwaves, while television favorites like Seinfeld and Buffy the Vampire Slayer defined the era. And at Quincy High, you embodied the energy and optimism of the times—whether on the field, on stage, in the classroom, or through service, the Class of 1997 led with resilience, creativity, and community spirit.

Reach out to your classmates—teammates, performers, student leaders, and lifelong friends—and invite them to join the Class Circles Challenge. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps grow your Class Circle’s impact. You can track your class’s progress online and celebrate each milestone together.

Your support will fund critical programs for today’s students—enhancing access to technology, arts and music education, athletics, mental health resources, and career readiness. Your generosity ensures that the values and opportunities you experienced in 1997 will continue to empower future generations of Blue Devils.
