Mary & Charles Heidbreder for QPS Music

Mary and Charles’s life-long love of music began with Paul Morrison and the QHS Music Department. Charles played the cornet and went on to captain the Purdue University marching band.  Mary, a pianist and violinist, conducted youth orchestras at Madison and Emmerson Schools and was a founding member of the Quincy Symphony where she was principle violist for almost 60 years. Together they continued to support the Quincy Public Schools Music Department, whose staff has continued to enrich and inspire their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
