QPS Foundation Sets Fundraising Record in 2024 Annual Campaign

The Quincy Public Schools Foundation ended their 2024 Dream Big Annual Campaign on a high note, raising a record-breaking $515,000 in donations and pledges. This is the most raised during a Dream Big Campaign, exceeding last year’s record of $355,213.42. The campaign total was announced during halftime at the QHS Varsity Blue Devil Basketball game, Friday, Jan. 17. This is the fourth year in a row that a fundraising record has been set with this annual campaign.
“”This year’s Dream Big Annual Campaign has truly surpassed all expectations, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community,” said Heidi Lanier, executive director of the Quincy Public Schools Foundation. “Every dollar raised is an investment in the future of Quincy Public Schools, ensuring that our students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.”
This year’s campaign was chaired by QHS alumni Bo & Erin Knapheide, classes of ’94 & ’97 respectively.
“Our record-breaking success reflects the incredible commitment of our donors, volunteers, and advocates. Together, we’ve demonstrated the power of a united community working toward a common goal: supporting and enriching the education of every student in Quincy,” said Bo Knapheide.
““It has been inspiring to witness the passion and dedication of everyone involved in this campaign. We are proud to see the Dream Big vision come to life, and we are excited about
the lasting impact this achievement will have on Quincy Public Schools for years to come,” said Erin Knapheide.
Proceeds from this year’s campaign will be allocated to the five “pillars” of the Foundation: curriculum, technology, fine arts, athletics and endowment, operations of the Foundation, and special projects within the district. A portion of the money donated will also benefit new and existing Circles of Investment, per the donor’s wishes.
Each year the Foundation makes grants to teachers, schools and the district administration in fulfillment of their mission. In the last fiscal year, the Foundation awarded more than $325,000 in grants in support of the Quincy Public Schools and has connected Quincy Public Schools with tens of thousands of dollars from other community organizations.
The QPS Foundation continues to encourage donations for Circles of Investment, which are endowment funds benefiting specific designations across the school district. Contributions may be made at any time to support existing Circles.
Gifts to the Dream Big Campaign should be made to QPS Foundation and can be sent via postal mail to the Foundation office at Quincy Senior High School or online via the Foundation’s website, qpsfoundation.org. Mobile device users may donate by texting “QPSF” to 44-321.
