QPS Foundation Spring 2026 Grant Cycle Awards Made
QPS Foundation Awards Over $80,000 in Teacher Grant Awards in Support of Quincy Schools
The Quincy Public Schools Foundation has announced its latest round of grant funding, approving more than $80,000 to empower educators, elevate student experiences, and ignite creativity across the Quincy Public School District.
This grant cycle, the Foundation’s Grants Committee approved 17 grant applications totaling $81,397.10 to be distributed to schools this spring. An additional $6,848 in grants were connected with a funding source within the Quincy Public Schools District. All awarded funds become available January 1 and will be used to implement projects during the upcoming spring semester.
“We had some truly exciting projects this last grant cycle,” said Heidi Lanier, Executive Director of the QPS Foundation. “There was a diverse range of projects, and I very much look forward to seeing these projects come to life.”

From scientific exploration and innovative technology to life skills and athletic development, the funded grants represent a vibrant cross-section of student enrichment. Highlights include:
- A Tower Stand Garden for The Academy
- A New Dryer for Grooming Center and P.E. at Quincy Junior High School
- A Milking Simulator for FFA Ag Days
- RFID Timing System for Cross Country and Track
- Seed Money for Pen & Page Publication at Quincy Junior High School
- A Mobile Makerspace for Lincoln-Douglas Elementary
- Funds for Community Engagement Trips for the Autism and Deaf & Hard of Hearing Programs.
- Funds to Complete the Softball Batting Cages
- Equipment for Baseball and Wrestling Programs
In total, 23 of 28 submitted applications received at least partial or full funding, thanks to strong collaboration between QPSF and the school district.
“Every dollar we award represents a commitment to the future of Quincy,” said Lanier. “I hope our community sees the real, tangible outcomes their support makes possible. We could not do this without the incredible generosity of the Quincy community. I hope all our supporters celebrate these grants with us.”
The Foundation’s Circles of Investment continue to serve as a sustainable source of program-specific funding. Each Circle is established by donors passionate about a particular area, such as STEM, arts, or early childhood education.
“Our Circles are a testament to the enduring generosity of our community,” Lanier added. “They create long-term impact and help us meet needs year after year.”
All Quincy Public Schools staff are encouraged to apply for grant funding through the Foundation’s grants program. The next application cycle opens January 5 for funding in the Fall 2026 semester.
